Over the past 7–10 years it has become clear to me that the decade of the 2020s will be one of the most disruptive and transformative decades in history. It is one of those rare decades which will entirely shape the trajectory of humanity for decades, if not for the entire 21st century. There are several significant and macro dynamics that are all coinciding during these 10 years that will insure that how humanity entered the decade will be vastly different from how we exit in 2030.

As readers and followers of me know, I am writing a series of short, high-level books on the decade. The first one came out last year, and the next two will come out this year. I have chosen to focus on this decade as it is a critical time, when massive and accelerative change can happen in shorts amount of time. There are few times when the big NOW happens at the same time as the big FUTURE. Each moment, hour, day, week, month and year of the 2020s will have within them far greater change than ever before. We stand at a fork in the road relative to our future.

Simple question to answer: how has the decade been for you so far?

The fork in the road we face in the 2020s is between the road to the future we want to create and the road we are somewhat unconsciously on that leads to a future less bright.
